Triton College to Host AI Conference Exploring the Future of Work Across Industries
RIVER GROVE, Ill. — While artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming how organizations work, innovate and prepare for the future, Triton College is bringing together community leaders, professionals and business executives for a summit focused on understanding AI and navigating the evolving workplace.
Triton College's School of Continuing Education (SCE) is hosting a one-day conference featuring an interactive workshop, spotlight presentations, an industry panel discussion and collaborative roundtables to help attendees and their teams stay ahead of the curve.
AI in Action: Transforming Business, Healthcare and Nonprofits is slated for Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Triton College.
Whether exploring AI for the first time or already incorporating AI tools into daily operations, attendees will gain insights into emerging trends, opportunities and strategies they can apply in their workplaces.
Participants will explore AI tools and real-world workplace applications, learn from leaders across multiple sectors, discuss opportunities, challenges and workforce impacts, identify practical next steps for their organizations, and receive a Professional Development Certificate of Attendance.
According to Dr. Felicia Townsend, dean of continuing education at Triton College, the conference is designed for professionals interested in how AI is reshaping the workplace, including business and industry leaders, health care professionals, nonprofit and community leaders, educators, workforce professionals and anyone seeking to better understand its impact on their organization and industry.
"Organizations across every sector are asking the same question: How do we embrace artificial intelligence responsibly in a way that strengthens our workforce and advances our mission?" Townsend said. "This conference brings together experts and leaders using AI in practical ways, giving attendees the knowledge, connections and confidence to navigate an evolving workplace while preparing their organizations for what's next."
In addition to Townsend, speakers include Jennifer Stewart, vice president of AI and innovation at Premier Research; Jillian Eberhard, owner of Aire Serv Heating and Air Conditioning of Glenbrook; Ana Krstic, apprenticeship coordinator for Triton College SCE; Dr. Faith Cole, assistant superintendent of student services for Leyden High School District 212; Dani Houchin, executive director and trustee of Origami Works Foundation; Sarah Hunter, president and CEO of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital; and Kraig Kistinger, director of human resources at National Tube Supply.
As businesses continue exploring the opportunities and impact of artificial intelligence, Townsend said the School of Continuing Education is inviting corporate partners to join a growing network of employers and organizations committed to innovation and workforce development. Conference partners will have opportunities to connect with business, health care, nonprofit, government and community leaders, demonstrate their commitment to preparing for the future of work, and support regional conversations about the practical application of AI.
