Join Triton College and the Village of Hillside for Art in the Courtyard, an evening of art, music and creativity featuring work by Triton staff and student artists on the historic grounds of Hillside Village Hall.
RIVER GROVE, Ill. — Triton College and the Village of Hillside invite the community to enjoy an evening of art, music and creativity at Art in the Courtyard, featuring the work of talented Triton College staff and student artists in a festive outdoor setting.
Set on the historic grounds of Hillside Village Hall, the event will take place Thursday, June 18, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 425 N. Hillside Ave. in Hillside. Guests can enjoy live music, refreshments and an inspiring showcase of artwork while connecting with local artists and fellow community members. Art in the Courtyard is a collaborative effort between Triton College and the Village of Hillside.
“Art has a unique ability to bring people together, spark conversation and strengthen connections within a community,” said Triton College President Mary-Rita Moore. “We are proud to partner with the Village of Hillside to create opportunities for our talented student artists to share their work and engage with the community in such a welcoming and inspiring setting.”
“Art in the Courtyard is a meaningful event for the community because it brings people together in our beautiful Village courtyard to enjoy creativity, culture and community,” said Hillside Mayor Joseph T. Tamburino. “It’s a chance for residents to connect, support local artists and experience something unique right here in Hillside.”
Mayor Tamburino added that many Triton students are Hillside residents, making the partnership even more meaningful.
“We’re especially proud to partner with Triton College and give emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their work,” he said. “We truly value the relationship we’ve built with Triton College and look forward to continuing to create opportunities that benefit both the students and our community.”
President Moore said the event also reflects Triton College’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and student opportunity.
“Triton College is committed to creating opportunities that enrich both our students and the surrounding community,” said President Moore. “Art in the Courtyard is a celebration of creativity, collaboration and community pride, and we’re excited to be part of such a special event.”
Art in the Courtyard is free and open to the public.
