Triton College is bringing together 60 Chicagoland employers under one roof for its Fall Career Fair on Oct. 7, open to students and community members.

RIVER GROVE, Ill. — Triton College’s Career Services Department will host a Fall Career Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 7, bringing together 60 Chicagoland employers and giving attendees an opportunity to connect with hiring representatives and explore career opportunities.

The event, open to students and community members, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Center Cafeteria (B Building). Employers will represent health care, manufacturing, law enforcement, hospitality, business services, government, early childhood education and more.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in business casual attire and bring a copy of their resume. Pre-registration is recommended and can be completed by following the registration instructions on the Career Fair webpage.

According to Lorena Gasca, director of Career Services at Triton, the career fair gives job-seeking students and community members access to a wide range of employers while saving them the time and effort of finding and contacting companies individually.

The number one reason students come here is because they want to be employable, right? So we just want to make it as easy as possible for students to be able to connect with employers.

“Here, you’ll have access to 60 of them all under one roof,” Gasca added.

For those who may not be actively seeking a job, Gasca said the fair is also an opportunity to practice communication skills, market themselves and explore what else is available.

Ahead of the event, Career Services will host workshops throughout September and early October to help job seekers prepare for the fair. Sessions will cover resume writing, job search strategies, communication skills and how to navigate a career fair.
