Fall Fun Awaits at Triton College
RIVER GROVE, Ill. – Triton College is welcoming the fall season with a lineup of family-friendly events open to both the campus community and the public. From a lively family autumn-themed fest to an outdoor movie, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Glow and Roll Bocce Ball
The Triton College Alumni Association is hosting Glow and Roll Bocce Ball, a glow-in-the-dark evening of friendly competition
on Friday, Sept. 11, 6 p.m., at the Elmwood Park Community and Recreation Center,
4 Conti Parkway, Elmwood Park. Registration is required. Assemble your team for tournament
play. Tournament prizes are $400 for first place; $200 for second and $100 for third.
The event begins with happy hour followed by tournament play at 7 p.m.
The Glow and Roll Bocce Ball fundraiser will support Triton’s Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund.

Corn Roast
Savor the season at Triton College’s Corn Roast on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 11 a.m.-2
p.m. on the Student Center Mounds. Enjoy delicious roasted corn, great music and beverages
while supplies last. The Corn Roast is also a fun and festive way for students to
meet with representatives from the college’s many clubs and organizations.

Movie on the Mounds
Triton College’s Office of Student Life will host its annual Movie on the Mounds on
Friday, Sept. 25, featuring the animated film Toy Story 5. This outdoor screening will begin at sundown (approximately 7 p.m.) with seating
available starting at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. Free popcorn, hot dogs and beverages will be available while supplies last. Please note that alcohol and smoking are prohibited on campus.
In case of inclement weather, the movie will be relocated to the Student Center Cafeteria (B Building).

Fall Family Fun Fest
Triton College will host its annual Fall Family Fun Fest on Saturday, Sept. 26, from
10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the college’s Botanical Gardens (behind the R Building). Now in
its 18th year, the fest features a variety of autumn-themed activities and games for
all ages. The fest is free and open to the public.
Triton’s Botanical Gardens are located on the east side of the college campus, directly behind the R Building.

Trunk or Treat
Get ready for ghoulish fun at the Triton College Alumni Association’s third annual Alumni and Friends Trunk-or-Treat in Space on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Cernan Earth and Space Center. Children and their families are invited to collect
candy and other child-appropriate giveaways from creatively decorated vehicles parked
in the Cernan Center’s parking lot, located in front of the building.
No visit to the Cernan Center is complete without experiencing a show in the Planetarium. Guests are invited to enjoy a free and spacey-Halloween themed planetarium show offered at 11:45 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
In case of inclement weather, Trunk-or-Treat in Space will be held indoors at the Cernan Center.

Movie on the Lot
Triton College’s Office of Student Life will host a drive-in movie experience, Movie on the Lot, Friday, Oct. 16, featuring the vampire film Queen of the Damned (Rated R). The event will take place in the Student Center Parking Lot 1 and is free
and open to the community. The movie will begin at sundown (approximately 7 p.m.)
with parking available starting at 6 p.m.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages. Possession or use of tobacco, alcohol, or other restricted substances are not permitted on campus.
In case of inclement weather, the event may be canceled or rescheduled based on vendor availability and weather conditions.

AI in Action: Transforming Business, Healthcare, and Nonprofits
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how organizations operate, innovate and
plan for the future. To help local leaders navigate these changes, Triton College’s
School of Continuing Education will host AI in Action: Transforming Business, Healthcare and Nonprofits on October 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The conference will feature an interactive workshop, spotlight presentations, an industry panel and collaborative roundtables designed to help professionals understand AI trends and apply practical strategies in their workplaces.
