Triton College Board Chairman Mark R. Stephens Receives 2026 ICCTA Trustee Service Award

RIVER GROVE, Ill.—Triton College Board of Trustees Chairman Mark R. Stephens has been honored with the 2026 Illinois Community College Trustees Association (ICCTA) Trustee Service Award, recognizing his decades of leadership and public service within the Illinois community college system. The award was announced during the ICCTA Awards Banquet held this month in Lombard, Ill.
Chairman Stephens, who has served on Triton’s Board of Trustees for 35 years, was formally presented with the award by Triton College President Mary-Rita Moore at the Board’s June 16 meeting.
Elected to the Board in 1991, Chairman Stephens was chosen as vice chairman and assumed the role of chairman in 1992. A lifelong resident of Rosemont, he completed his high school degree at East Leyden High School in three years and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Business and a juris doctorate from DePaul University. He also completed coursework at Triton College.
Beyond his service to Triton, Chairman Stephens has built a long career as an attorney with Storino, Ramello, and Durkin, where he practiced since 1988. He is also the owner of Bomark Cleaning Services, established in 1981. His community involvement includes active participation with Little City Foundation, Our Lady of Hope Parish, the Rosemont Voters League, and the Triton College Foundation Board, along with support for numerous charitable organizations.
