RIVER GROVE, Ill.—Triton College mourns the passing of Irene T. Moskal DelGiudice, 97, who died on Aug. 24, 2026. DelGiudice served on the Triton College Board of Trustees from 1989 to 2013.

A longtime resident of Schiller Park, DelGiudice dedicated more than two decades of service to Triton College. She served multiple terms as board secretary, including the 2003–2004 and 2007–2008 academic years. Her commitment to the college extended beyond her board service; she previously worked in Triton’s Maintenance Department.

DelGiudice’s public service reached far beyond Triton. She was a longtime member and past president of the Schiller Park District 81 School Board and served as a Schiller Park village trustee. She retired from the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office in 2006 after 18 years of service. In 2013, she was elected president of the Illinois Division of the Polish American Congress, continuing her longstanding commitment to civic engagement and community leadership.

DelGiudice married James V. DelGiudice in 1950, and the couple built their life together in Schiller Park, where they raised their son, James “Jimmy” DelGiudice. They were married for 37 years until James’ death in 1987.

Triton College extends its deepest condolences to DelGiudice’s family, friends and colleagues, and to all who were touched by her years of dedication to the college and the communities it serves.

Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels in Norridge, Ill. The funeral will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Beatrice Church (Holy Virgin Martyrs Parish) in Schiller Park. Interment will follow at Saint Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
