Triton College to Once Again Host Region 4 Division I Basketball Tournaments

RIVER GROVE, Ill. —Triton College is proud to once again host the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 4 Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments taking place March 4-7. Join us in the George T. Jorndt Athletic Complex Gymnasium (R Building) for an action-packed week of basketball.
The tournament schedule is as follows:
- Women’s Semifinals: Wednesday, March 4, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Men’s Semifinals: Thursday, March 5, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Championship Games: Saturday, March 7
- Women’s Championship at 5 p.m.
- Men’s Championship at 7:30 p.m.
General admission is $5 and children under 12 are free.
Both Trojan basketball programs are coming off thrilling performances at last year’s tournament, with the Men’s team claiming the Region 4 crown, and the Women’s team earning a runner-up finish.
Headed into next month’s tournament, Triton’s women’s team is looking to secure the top seed with four weeks left in the regular season. The Trojans are 14 – 1 overall in regional play, including an 11-0 record within Division I. Meanwhile, Triton’s men’s program is in a tight battle to secure one of the top four seeds in the tournament. The Men’s team is 10 – 4 in regional games heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
Grab your red and gold apparel, bring your school spirit and rally to the George T. Jorndt Athletic Complex Gymnasium to root for the Trojans!
