Please complete the Program's Interest Form below and we’ll be in touch soon. Be sure to include your phone number and email address, and keep an eye out for messages from Triton College Adult Education.
The Offsite ESL Program Interest Form is for individuals who may want to attend ESL classes offered in the community at East Leyden High School or Rhodes School. The information collected will allow us to contact interested individuals with the next steps for registering for the ESL class.
About Triton College’s Adult Education Programs
AE faculty and staff assist adult learners to acquire the academic and employment
skills to be college and career ready and to realize their full potential, so individuals,
families, and communities can thrive.
Adult education programs include:
- English as Second Language (ESL) for adults who want to learn to speak, read, and write English at all levels
- State of Illinois High School Diploma for adults preparing for the GED® and HiSET® exams.
- Citizenship for immigrants who are preparing for the naturalization test and interview
- Access to Literacy Offers free tutoring services to native and non-native English speakers who wish
to improve their basic reading, writing, math, or English conversational skills with
flexible scheduling.
**Volunteer Opportunity Available** - Gear Up! for adult education students who want to transition to college, training, or employment.
A variety of courses and resources help ESL and GED students improve language, literacy
and math skills while applying their learning to a career field.
- Interest Form
- Adult Education Board of Trustees Scholarship - The scholarship covers 12 college credits of in-district tuition and some fees for any subject. Students who will maintain the GPA of least 3.0 the first year are eligible for an additional 12 credits for another year. - Adult Education Westlake Elevate Healthcare Scholarship - To be eligible, students must be interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, and some program-related expenses for the duration of the program for students maintaining a 3.0 GPA. Adult education programs are made possible by state and federal grants received from the Illinois Community College Board and by the generous support of Triton College.
Requirements to Enroll:
- Must be an Illinois resident
- Provide a picture ID with current address
- Must be at least 16 years old and not enrolled in high school. High School withdrawal form (download PDF).
Classes are not open to individuals on temporary and student visas.
