Summer Youth Camps
Triton College offers a variety of summer camp experiences for children of all ages, featuring engaging programs in STEM, engineering, art, coding, and more! Our camps provide hands-on learning and creative exploration in a fun and supportive environment. With options for every interest, kids can dive into robotics, learn to weld, unleash their creativity in art, learn the basics of programming and so much more! Camps mainly run from Monday to Thursday, offering enriching experiences that help children discover new passions.

Week One (6/8/2026 – 6/11/2026)
CMP-C76-101 – Junior Troupers Circus Camp
Led by talented Triton Troupers, this high energy camp introduces students to the
exciting world of circus arts. Campers will learn essential safety practices while
developing beginner-level skills in juggling, unicycling, tumbling, acrobatics and
more. At then end of the session, students will have the chance to showcase their
new skills in a special performance for family and friends.

In this engaging robotics camp, students will learn to assemble and program LEGO
robots that can perform different programmable movements.

Students will learn how to create their very own computer animations and games using
Scratch, a programming language from MIT.

CMP-C66-101 – GADgET Jr.
In this fun, hands-on camp, your child will learn how to use common household tools
while assembling a variety of exciting wooden machines! Using high-quality Pathfinder
Kits, campers will construct hydraulic machines, running horses, flying dragons and
other mechanical models – all made entirely of wood. As they build, they’ll explore
the mechanics behind each creation, gaining an understanding of movement, force and
engineering concepts.

Dive into the exciting world of 3D design in this beginner-friendly class where students
will learn to use Tinkercad to design and model their own 3D projects. Perfect for
budding engineers, designers and inventors, this course fosters creativity and problem-solving
while introducing essential 3D modeling skills.

CMP-C39-103 – Young Chefs Culinary Camp
Young Chefs will learn how to cook and bake while using Triton College’s state of
the art culinary kitchens. Your student will explore the farm-to-table process, experience
new recipes and discuss kitchen safety.
Note: Children will be exposed to a variety of foods including potential allergens such
as nuts, eggs, wheat etc. in the kitchen.

This course encourages problem-solving, critical-thinking and creativity through
the Minecraft video game. The student's imagination is free to build and create a
fun and challenging gaming experience in an educational setting.

The campers will learn to use Pangolin QuickShow software to create, edit and synchronize
laser visuals to music to showcase in the Cernan Center Planetarium and premiere the
results of their hard work to friends and family!

This program is designed to unveil the world of finishes to students through hands-on
building projects using mixed media materials, including laser and welding technology.

CMP-C70-101 – Rocket Camp
Enjoy a week of building and launching model rockets at the Cernan Earth and Space
Center. Students will learn and explore Newton's Laws of Motion, rocket science and
safe model rocket launch procedures. After "Launch Day", each student will be able
to bring home their rockets!

CMP-C86-101 – Careers in Space and On the Ground
Dreaming of a future in space? In this camp, students will explore a wide range of
careers—from astronomy and robotics to welding, culinary arts, and even space law.
Campers will meet industry experts, spend time in the planetarium, and even hear from
a real astronaut. The week wraps up with each student giving a live presentation in
the planetarium on a space-related topic of their choice—family and friends are invited
to attend!

CMP-C82-101 – Small Business Builders
In this camp, students will learn the fundamentals of business and what it takes to
create their own! Young entrepreneurs will explore key concepts such as budgeting,
pricing, marketing, and problem-solving. Using these skills, they’ll develop a business
idea and design a storefront to showcase their unique plan.

CMP-C61-101- Coding Electronics
Using Microbits, students will learn to program interactive projects that light up,
move, and respond to touch. From coding simple animations to creating games and sensors,
this course combines programming, electronics and creativity to introduce the foundations
of physical computing in a fun and engaging way.

Unleash your creativity and explore the fascinating world of animation! This camp

their own flipbooks, clay characters, and animated scenes while learning about the
history and process of bringing stories to life.

GADgET introduces youth to the world of manufacturing through hands-on projects and
site visits to manufacturing facilities. This camp will teach computer-aided design
(CAD), entrepreneurship skills, academic requirements for 21st century manufacturing
careers and development of teamwork skills.

This beginner-friendly camp introduces students to the Java programming language,
one of the most widely used coding languages in the world. Campers will explore key
programming concepts, including variables, input/output statements, control structures,
arithmetic operations, lists, functions and more. Through hands-on coding exercises,
students will see how Java powers real world applications, from video games and mobile
apps to websites and robotics.

Explore a new language in the realm of computer science. Python is a high-level computer
programming language that can create games, Android applications and web applications
to name a few. Students can learn the foundation to creating a source code and statements
through Python. Begin to speak high level Python computer programming.

You can also submit an Intent to Enroll form with your child's information HERE or visit the Office of Continuing Education in the A Building, Room 201. Camp Requirements
Each camp requires paperwork be completed and submitted by the first day of camp. After registering, please fill out the required forms and email them to askce@triton.edu with the subject line (Child’s First and Last Name) (Camp Name) Paperwork prior to the start of each camp. This ensures a smooth start and helps us provide the best experience for your child.

Tuition Payment Plan
Triton College offers a payment plan for individuals who have a balance of $250 or more for the semester. The Nelnet payment plan breaks down your child’s tuition balance into affordable monthly payments.
To enroll into the Nelnet payment plan, please follow the steps below.
- Compose an email to webadvisor@triton.edu requesting a MyTriton Portal user name and password for your child. In the email, please provide your child’s first and last name, date of birth, last four digits of their social security number, and a preferred email address to contact.
- After receiving the email with your child's username and password, click HERE to enroll in the Nelnet payment plan.
Refund Policy
One hundred percent refund up to 3 business days (9AM - 5PM) prior to the start of class. No refunds will be granted after this time. No-shows do NOT constitute cancellation.
