Laptop Request Form

Dear Students,

As we transition to campus-wide online learning, we have worked to make approximately 100 Triton laptops available to loan to students for the remainder of the semester.

We know that more than 100 students may be in need of laptops to complete online coursework, so we will be randomly selecting which students receive the laptops.

Those selected will be notified and arragements will be made to pick up the laptop.

Loan Period: Laptops must be returned on Monday, August 3, 2020 between 2-4 p.m. for the Summer Semester.

NOTE: Students in need of laptops for the Fall Semester may borrow them through the Library beginning Monday, August 17, 2020.

Please read the following before you borrow a Triton Laptop...

The Triton College Laptop Loan Program is provided for current Triton College students. When check out a laptop, you are acknowledging that you have received, read, and agree to the Triton College Laptop Loan Program Guidelines and to all of the statements outlined within the document. The Laptop Program grants sole use to the Triton student who checks out the device, power cord and case.

• You will accept full financial responsibility for the Laptop in the event of loss, damage, theft, or other events resulting in your inability to return the Laptop in the condition at check-out
• You agree to pay all costs (up to $500) associated with any damage, loss, or theft of the Laptop while checked out to you
• You agree that if you lose or damage the power cord you will have to replace it
• You understand that the College will use any and all appropriate means to collect amount owed for fines, damage, loss, or theft of the Laptop
• You will not leave the Laptop unattended at any time
• You will not tamper with the hardware, software, or any components of the Laptop.
• All Laptops are reconfigured upon check-in, which wipes all added files, documents, etc
• You understand that Triton College is not responsible for any loss of personal documents/files due to viruses or other malfunctions or events
• You understand that this computer is the property of Triton College and it must be returned on or before the agreed-uppon time Failure to return the Laptop within the time frame allotted will be considered lost
