Triton College Alumni Association presents “Tri it” A Virtual Cooking Class – Nov. 13

The Triton College Alumni Association will host its first-ever “Tri it” Virtual Cooking Class on Friday, Nov. 13, from 7-8 p.m. The livestreamed interactive event will be hosted by Triton alumna and adjunct faculty member Chef Carolina Diaz. All registered participants will be sent a link to participate in the cooking demonstration and follow along remotely.

“We are excited to present an interactive and fun activity alumni and community members can participate in from the comfort of their homes while still supporting the college and our students,” said Jamie DePaolo, president, Triton College Alumni Association. “Not only will participants be able to follow along while cooking, but they will also have an opportunity to ask Chef Diaz questions about the dish and her approach to cooking.”

Participants are welcomed to select from three different donation levels which determine the type of participation package received. The Triton Executive Chef package can be obtained for a $150 donation, the Triton Sous Chef package for a $50 donation and the Triton Commis Chef for a self-determined donation amount.

“In a perfect scenario, I would love to host an event like this in person and welcome participants to campus in our bistro or fine dining room. But due to the current COVID-19 environment, I am excited to take an innovative approach to interacting with our alumni and community members,” said Chef Carolina Diaz. “It is livestreamed and will also be recorded, so we hope that even more Triton supporters can follow along or watch on their own schedule than if we hosted the event in-person.”
