Manufacturing Employer Virtual Meet and Greet

Triton College Career Services, in partnership with the Technology & Manufacturing Association, will host a virtual meet and greet Thursday, Aug. 27, 2 p.m., via Zoom. The discussion topics will include how to build a successful manufacturing career and job opportunities in our area. Those attending will also meet with representatives from Chucking Machine Products and Principal Manufacturing Corporation.

There is a national shortage of people qualified for manufacturing jobs. According to CNBC, there are nearly a half million positions that aren’t being filled by qualified professionals. If you’re looking to get into a career right away, now is your chance to learn about local opportunities.

The meet and greet will be held on Zoom. Here are some tips for a successful virtual meeting:

Move to a quiet area.
Dress appropriately.
Have a plain, distraction-free background.
Mute your microphone unless you are speaking.
