Library Cafe Grand Opening

The Triton College Library will host a grand opening on Monday, Dec. 12, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., in the A Building (Room A-200), to celebrate the opening of the Library Café. The grand opening will feature drink samples, treats and giveaways. 

The Library Café will consist of a Bean Bar coffee machine as well as tables and chairs. The area is meant to be a place where students can purchase coffee, study and relax. Besides the Bean Bar, it will also have magazines, coffee table books and other items for students to utilize while they take a break from studying. 

Coffee items include double espresso, espresso macchiato, cappuccino, mocha, Americano, matcha latte, chai latte and hot chocolate. Vegan options include vegan espresso macchiato and vegan cappuccino. Coffee prices range from $1.95-$5. 

Triton’s culinary students will sell their baked goods on Tuesday, Nov. 29 and Wednesday, Nov. 30 from Noon-1 p.m. in the café for a pop-up bakery.

“The Library Café is a great place for students to take a break while they’re studying,” said Dubravka Juraga, Triton College’s Library chairperson. “We hope students take advantage of the café as a place to meet with friends while enjoying a hot beverage and pastry from our bakery.” 

Café hours are Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The café and the Bean Bar are available to anyone in the community.
