The Triton College Library will host its Now Showing series in August, featuring films in honor of National Senior Citizens Day and International Peace Month. The films will be shown in the Library classroom (A Building, Room A-215).

Lives Lived Well

Thursday, Aug. 21, 2 p.m.

Discover the wisdom of people aged 75-100, as they share their secrets for living a meaningful life, perseverance and positivity. With over 3,000 years of collective life experience, their stories will inspire you to laugh, cry and see life in a new light.  

Peace in Our Pockets

Thursday, Aug. 28, 2 p.m.

Journey to Kenya and follow grassroots activists as they promote civic engagement, build democracy and defuse violence ahead of the 2013 national elections. Explore how peace is defined, pursued and lived within their country.
