Science Lecture Series

Triton College’s Science Lecture Series will host an enlightening lecture, Using Worms to Study Human Diseases, on Tuesday, March 31, from 11 a.m.- 12 noon in Room J-112 (J Building). The lecture will be presented by Dr. Cindy Voisine, a Bernard J. Brommel Distinguished Professor and STEM Director at Living Learning Community at Northeastern Illinois University.

Dr. Voisine’s research focuses on human brain conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Her seminar will explore how research groups use nematodes (worms) to better understand the mechanisms underlying these neurogenerative diseases.

This event aims to inspire curiosity and promote a deeper understanding of medical science among students and the community.
