Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Sexual Assault Awareness

We are here for you. We believe you. You are not alone.

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, this April Triton College reaffirms our commitment to eliminating sexual violence, empowering survivors, and providing access to crucial resources for students, faculty and staff who have been affected by this crime. You have the right to a learning and work environment free from harassment and abuse wherever you may be during this time of remote learning and working.

Sexual assault is any type of sexual contact that occurs without consent of the recipient and includes sexual acts against people who are unable to consent either due to age or lack of capacity.

Expanding the Conversation Around Sexual Violence, Consent, and Reproductive Justice
The conversation surrounding sexual violence and consent often focuses on coercion and times when a person's boundaries are clearly violated. While these are necessary and important topics, this presentation pushes us to expand our discussions to include situations that society has deemed less black and white in order to better understand what exactly is consent and how we can best help survivors.

Register in advance for this meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
