A Mental Health Roundtable Discussion 

In conjunction with Triton College’s Black History Month programming, Leslie Wester, counselor at Triton College and Kevyn Porter, student success advisor/TRIUMPH Program joined local mental health care professionals for a mental health roundtable discussionThe event was designed to be a resource for Triton College students and covered how students can receive support about issues and events that may be impacting their mental health. Invited mental health professionals included: 

  • Arturo Carrillo, Ph.D., LCSW, Collaborative for Community Wellness.
  • Obari Cartman, Ph.D., Community Psychologist & Restorative Practices Coach, immediate past president of the Chicago Chapter of Black Psychologists Association.
  • Matt Lawson, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), specializing in men's wellness, healthy lifestyle creations, and anxiety management. 

The next mental health roundtable discussion“Hey Girl Hey! Let’s talk: A mental health roundtable discussion for women students, will be held Monday, March 29 via Zoom as part of the college’s Women’s History Month. For any questions about the mental health roundtable discussion email meredithdavis@triton.edu.
