East Campus Greenhouse
A new aquaponic system that allows fish and plants to grow in one integrated ecosystem is the highlight of the Triton’s East Campus Greenhouse. Renovations to the greenhouse were completed in 2016, is 33 percent larger than the one it replaced. The aquaponic system features computerized climate control and watering capabilities. The new greenhouse, which is located just outside of the R-Building on the east side of campus, serves additional learning tool for students enrolled in Triton’s Horticulture and Sustainable Agriculture Programs. Additionally, the greenhouse and adjoining botanical garden will combine to produce vegetables and herbs that will be used by students in our Hospitality Industry Administration Program.
